PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow the simple fiber connection to waveguides and to facilitate the connection of another optical waveguide parts or optical fibers by irradiating a specific photosensitive oligomer in a liquid or solid state with light to solidify this oligomer, thereby forming the optical waveguides. SOLUTION: The optical waveguides are formed by irradiating the photosensitive oligomer in the liquid or solid state with the light to solidify this oligomer and are the optical waveguide parts obtd. by adopting the compd. expressed by the formula for the photosensitive oligomer. In the formula, R1 , R2 respectively independently denote hydrogen atoms, halogen atoms, etc. X1 to X3 denote combination groups contg. alkyl groups, alkyl ether groups, etc., and contg. at least one OH group. Y denotes a specific polymn. active group. The optical waveguide parts comprise a substrate manufactured with the optical waveguides and the grooves for fixing optical fibers for input and output on the same optical axis and optical fibers having optical connectors at the terminals fixed to the grooves on the substrate and a container for holding the substrate and the optical fibers. |
