PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate a state that a user does not intend, such as a level difference from an external parameter value in a variation section, by performing and input and editing based on parameter variation information and varying the values of parameters included in playing data not in the section with the values of the parameters. SOLUTION: When the user selects velocity curve information, the velocity curve information is read out and the readout position of addition data is set to the head data position of the stored velocity curve information (S13). Namely, the velocity value VEL is varied by adding an addition value corresponding to the current progress position (input position of playing data) in the section (two-measure length) of the whole velocity curve is added to the velocity value VEL which was set right before it.
