<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to mount and dismount a support metal fittings for an insulating tube from the lateral direction of a piston rod in a jig, for expanding the insulation tube to be used in a cable connecting section by the operation of a cylinder. SOLUTION: In an insulation tube expanding jig, a piston rod 4 in a cylinder 2 is mounted, at its top end, with a support metal fittings 7 for an insulating tube 5 and then, the piston rod 4 is operated in the axial direction to press the insulation tube 5 located on the outer surface of the piston rod 4 by means of the bearer metal fittings 7, thereby putting the insulation tube 5 on a diameter expanding pipe 6 located on the outer surface of the cylinder 2. Here, the support metal fittings 7 is formed with cutouts, thereby installing from the radial direction of the piston rod 4. Due to this structure, there is no necessity of lifting the support metal fittings 7 above an upper end of the piston rod 4, thereby mounting and dismounting the support metal fittings 7 easily.</p> |
