PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten start/stop time and to accelerate image forming speed by attaining improvement in the peripheral surface accuracy of a drum, improving accuracy in winding a recording medium around the drum, and further recording high-quality images without increasing inertia quantity. SOLUTION: The recording medium is wound around the outer periphery of a cylindrical drum 24, the drum 24 is rotated and a recording element is moved in the direction parallel with a rotary shaft 240 of the drum 24 so that images can be formed on the said recording medium. In this case, the drum 24 has plural flange members 243 protruded from the inner peripheral surface of the drum toward the rotary shaft 240 while defining the rotary shaft 240 as a normal and plural protruding cylindrical surface parts 242 protruded on the outer peripheral surface of the drum 24 corresponding to the positions of the flange members 243, and the recording member is wound in contact with the protruding cylindrical surface parts 242. |
