<p>The invention relates to a method for detecting cells in a sample, according to which a substance is added which in the presence of active cells results in the formation of a certain enzyme. The cells are then examined by fluorescence microscopy. In the microscopic image the cells presenting the enzyme activity for which they are being screened become luminous in accordance with the fluorescent dye used. This method permits the very rapid detection of cells capable of multiplication.</p> |
