A self-adhesive, dermal or transdermal plaster has a reservoir layer which contains an active agent in fluid form and which is partly overlaid with an adhesive layer permitting passage of the active agent on contact with skin. A self-adhesive, dermal or transdermal plaster comprises: a) a reservoir layer of a non-adhesive polymer carrier which contains active agent in fluid form and which is supported on a backing layer impermeable to active agent; b) an adhesive layer overlying the reservoir layer and having non-adhesive regions or sites allowing passage of the active agent on contact with skin; and c) a detachable layer covering the adhesive layer.
