PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for managing purchase of tools which can effect automatic ordering of tools and reduce manpower substantially. SOLUTION: The present invention is a system for managing purchase of tools by components analysis method which regards components of a product as an accumulation of divided elements for processing and creates a database 3 of tools for each component comprising data of standard processing time for each part and component set up on a basis of past performances and life of tools to process them. The database 3 of tools for each component comprises standard process time for each part and component and a required number of tools calculated from the database of life of the tools. The data are continuously updated by input from a manufacturing site and names and numbers of tools required for an amount of products to be manufactured and remaining life of tools in use are calculated, enabling managing of purchase of tools to be made properly. |
