PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a safe local anesthetic composition which has action persistence suitable for dental small operations such as tooth extraction. SOLUTION: This local anesthetic composition suitable for oral internal departments, oral surgery departments, or odontology departments contains a local anesthetic as an active ingredient and an anesthetic action-persisting agent selected from acidic mucopolysaccharides such as sodium chondroitin sulfate and cellulose derivatives such as hydroxypropylmethylcellulose, and does not contain a catecholamine compound.
