PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage device for a roll-like medium capable of storing the roll-like medium in a storage part and taking it out of the storage part by a simple configuration. SOLUTION: This storage device is constituted in such a way that the roll-like medium facing sideways is held by a holding means 310, is turned into a condition in which it faces vertically, and is moved into the storage part by a moving means 330 for storage. The roll-like medium facing vertically is moved to the holding means by the moving means, is held by the holding means, and is turned into a condition in which it faces sideways to take it out. Consequently, since the roll-like medium can be stored in a stationary condition in the storage part, is easily stored in the storage part, and is easily taken out of the storage part irrespective of the simple configuration, an another conventional device having a complicated and large-scale configuration becomes unnecessary, thereby reducing cost.
