PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low-cost and versatile power seat slide device with no wavy sound being generated. SOLUTION: A gear box 331 has a housing, a worm 171 which is provided in the housing, has a rotary shaft substantially perpendicular to a side face of the housing and is connected with output shafts 110a, 110b of a motor 108, and a worm wheel 173 engaged with the worm 171 and provided to a screw rod 307. A holding member is provided to hold the gear box 331 on upper rails 105, 105' so that the rotary shaft of the worm 171 of one gear box 331 and the rotary shaft of the worm 171 of the other gear box 331 can be positioned on the same straight line.
