PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily create an album file in which images are arranged with a suitable arrangement layout and size without requiring a troublesome operation. SOLUTION: As shown in Fig. (a), album data 30 are previously created by using a personal computer 7 and are transmitted to a digital camera 1. After that, as shown in Fig. (b), a user takes a picture at a "so-and-so" landmark L indicated by comment data 302. Next, a reproducing mode is turned ON, as shown in Fig. (c) the digital camera 1 displays the album data 30 on a display unit 13, and applies reduction processing to image data so that the photographed image data can be displayed at the size conforming to an image pasting area 301. In this way, the album image in which the image of the landmark L is pasted on the image pasting area 301 of the album data 30 is displayed on the display unit 13 of the digital camera 1.
