The invention relates to a portable container for storing and dispensing toilet roll. The invention is characterised in that it comprises: (i) a central hollow element which houses a roll of toilet paper; (ii) an upper element which is equipped with a hole through which the paper can be extracted and a cover which is positioned thereon such that the paper-extraction hole can be closed whenever necessary; and (iii) a lower base which is provided with an external groove in order to facilitate the removal thereof, whereby said lower base is mobile and can be removed with the application of pressure or by means of screwing in order for a paper roll to be inserted into the container.
