摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide novel design for a detection unit of a hygrometer capable of solving a problem of recoupling in an I-type electrolytic hygrometer, and capable of reducing a response time of the I-type electrolytic hygrometer, and a production process therefor. <P>SOLUTION: The present invention provides the novel design for the detection unit for the I-type electrolytic hygrometer provided with a thin membrane electrode, and the improved production process therefor. The first process of the production process provides a long, thin, transparent and hollow glass tube 98 having an inner face, an outer face and end parts with a rim. A thin noble metal film 120 is deposited on the inner face of the hollow glass tube. A beam 130 from a light source 140 is thereafter emitted to be passed through the hollow glass tube, and the first portion of the noble metal film is removed from the inner face of the hollow glass tube, to prepare the first spacer area 122.
