PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reproduce sounds of analog echo by digital echo. SOLUTION: Inputted music signals are converted into digital data in an A/D converter 10 and inputted to a feedback loop 22 having a digital delay circuit 16 to generate echo signals. A distortion adding block 28 is added in the loop 22 so as to add distortion, that is equivalent to the distortion caused by the recording and the reproducing of a tape recorder system analog echos, to the echo signals. The delay time of the circuit 16 is modulated so as to add wavering equivalent to the wobbling flutter of the tape recorder system analog echo. Then, the echo generated in the loop 22 is converted back to analog signals by a D/A converter 24, added to original sounds in an adder 26 and outputted. |
