<p>A deep-draw plastic foil forming packaging machine has a heater station (22) with a heated panel each side of the plastic foil (5) web. The panels and web are in an upright preferably vertical presentation to each other. The heated panels are each sub-divided into two or three individually heated zones whose boundaries are in-line with the direction of web travel and are coated. The panels have a servo-drive that opens and closes the panels with respect to the plastic foil. Each panel sector incorporates a temperature sensor. A forming station (1) is located immediately after the heating station. The heating station is immediately preceded by a twin-roller foil feed station (18). The feed station, heating station and form station are all in in-line. Further claimed is a commensurate automated operating process.</p> |
