<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information selection apparatus and an information selection method for finding out latent popular information of the general public before popularity becomes actual. <P>SOLUTION: An information selection apparatus 1 includes: a reference history storage part 12 for storing, for each information on which a user has made a comment, the information ID and the user ID of the user who has made a comment on the information while relating both IDs with each other; a popularity result storage part 13 for storing, for each information, the information ID and result information showing whether or not the information has become popular while relating the information ID and the result information with each other; and a latent popular information estimation part 16 for estimating information which becomes popular in the future based on the information ID and the user ID stored in the reference history storage part 12 and the information ID and the result information stored in the popularity result storage part 13. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
