摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a single crystal material which has a size required on applications and excellent piezoelectric characteristics, electric field-induced strain characteristics, dielectric characteristics, ferroelectric characteristics and optical characteristics, and which can be used in a wide temperature range, by manufacturing the same with good productivity while maintaining a starting composition. <P>SOLUTION: The barium-calcium titanate single crystal material for electronic and optical applications satisfies following compositional formula: (Ba<SB>1-x</SB>Ca<SB>x</SB>)TiO<SB>3</SB>(1) (wherein, 0.025<x(mole)≤0.335), and has a crystal structure being tetragonal, and excellent piezoelectric characteristics, electric field-induced strain characteristics, and dielectric characteristics. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p>
