#CMT# #/CMT# The joint (34) has a hexagonal shaped main part (340) extending in a plane. A flat crossbar (342) is connected to two longitudinal edges (3400, 3402) of the main part such that spacing between the edges increases close to the crossbar. The crossbar extends in a same plane as that of the main part before assembling the joint, and extends in a plane different from the plane of the main part after assembling the joint. The crossbar is made of deformable material e.g. polymer, such that the crossbar rests on a collection plate during assembling. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Rectangular shaped compressible sealing joint for a collecting box of a heat exchanger (all claimed) that is used in a motor vehicle. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The flat crossbar is provided in a same plane as that of the main part of the sealing joint, thus simplifying the manufacturing process of the sealing joint and reducing the manufacturing cost. The flat shape and the deformability of the crossbar permit to place the joint in two directions, without the need to provide a disillusion unit.
