The odor trap has a cover (3) with a malodor-impermeable portion (14) which is joined to the lower vertical wall (12) of a water seal for an odor trap in a malodor-proof manner. The drainage outlet for the channel comprises a connection sleeve located inside the channel reservoir (4). The channel (1) comprises an elongate floor-fitted part (2) extending horizontally in the channel length direction. This part includes a boundary wall assembly which defines a reservoir (4) and an elongate inlet opening (5) extending in the drain length direction and in communication with the reservoir. This wall assembly includes a drainage outlet allowing water to exit via one side of the floor-fitted part, into a discharge pipe. The inlet opening is at least partly covered by a removable cover containing at least one through-opening (10). An odor trap between the inlet opening and discharge pipe comprises a water seal for the discharge pipe connection, the seal being formed by at least one first vertical wall (11) and at least one second vertical wall (12) which extend at least partly into the reservoir and are separated from each other by a horizontal distance. At least a portion of the upper free edge (21) of the first wall is higher than at least a portion of the upper free end (22) of the second wall.
