摘要 A substrate for feeding cells and/or tissues which is composed of a porous body having a thin film surface and a porous surface and which can be used in the regenerative medical techniques. A cell/tissue feeder is produced by cultivating tissues on the porous surface of the porous body. Cells are seeded on the porous surface of the body, followed by the cultivation of the cells to thus form and/or regenerate tissues. An aqueous solution of silk proteins, to which a water-soluble organic solvent is added, is introduced into a mold whose bottom or top surface is surface-roughened, followed by freezing the aqueous solution and then thawing the frozen aqueous solution to form a porous body having a thin film surface and a porous surface.

A substrate for feeding cells/tissues characterized in that it is composed of a unitary porous body comprising a silk protein and a physiologically active molecule selected from the group consisting of collagen, cell growth factors, and cell adhesion factors, wherein the substrate is obtained in a mold having a surface-roughened bottom or top surface and has a film surface having a tear strength of not less than 0.05 N as determined according to the Trouser Tear Method (JIS K7128) formed on a side of the surface of the mold free of any surface-roughening treatment and a porous surface having a pore size ranging from 50 to 500 μm formed on a side of the surface-roughened bottom or top surface of the mold.
