In one embodiment according to the present invention, a stent is described having a generally cylindrical body formed from a single woven nitinol wire. The distal and proximal ends of the stent include a plurality of loops, some of which include marker members used for visualizing the position of the stent. In another embodiment, the previously described stent includes an inner flow diverting layer.

1. A stent having a deployment force when deployed in a body, the stent comprising:
a first layer having a first porosity and forming a generally tubular shape with a space therethrough; a second layer having a deployment force when deployed in a body independent of the first layer and a second porosity that is lower than said first porosity; said second layer located within said space within said tubular shape; wherein the deployment force of the stent comprising the first and second layers is lower than the deployment force of the second layer alone.
