In one embodiment according to the present invention, a stent is described having a generally cylindrical body formed from a single woven nitinol wire. The distal and proximal ends of the stent include a plurality of loops, some of which include marker members used for visualizing the position of the stent. In another embodiment, the previously described stent includes an inner flow diverting layer. |

1. A stent having a deployment force when deployed in a body, the stent comprising:
a first layer having a first porosity and forming a generally tubular shape with a space therethrough; a second layer having a deployment force when deployed in a body independent of the first layer and a second porosity that is lower than said first porosity; said second layer located within said space within said tubular shape; wherein the deployment force of the stent comprising the first and second layers is lower than the deployment force of the second layer alone. |
