<p>Protection of electronics contained in COTS equipment against the effects of latch-up caused by solar radiation, a nuclear explosion, electromagnetic induction or supply voltage fluctuations. To this effect, the supply currents are, in a preoperational phase of the COTS equipment, measured and stored in a memory device. During operation, the supply currents are continuously compared with the memorized supply currents, resulting in the disconnection of the electronics if the consumed currents significantly exceed the memorised currents.</p> |
