A fuel cell electrode comprises a bi-porous structure of conductive material, the fine-pored layer being covered with a distinct third layer to protect it. A metal highly resistant to corrosion e.g. rhodium, or an oxide e.g. of cerium, thorium, silicon, zirconium or magnesium may be used as the third layer. The bi-porous electrode is preferably of nickel with lithium oxide in the fine-pored layer. |
