<p>Thread rolling machine has a slide bed with a surface inclined w.r.t. the horizontal, the bed being used for a reciprocating slide carrying the moving thread roll which works in conjunction with a stationary thread roll on a vertical rolling line, and with a bolt feeder. The novelty is that in order to absorb the horizontal thrust pressures the slide is mounted on two guide surfaces located at 90 degrees to each other and opening out towards the thread rolls, the two guide surfaces being inclined to match the slide. Greater support is provided for the slide so that the film of lubricant between the slide and its guide surfaces does not break down. The result is that the slide can be reciprocated at higher speeds than those possible with conventional machines.</p> |
