An open end spinning machine with a no. of aggregates arranged side by side, the winding spindles for the spun threads of which, are laid out alternately in an upper and a lower row above the spinning aggregates, has >=2 servicing devices, one of which works with the spinning aggregates with winding spindles on the higher level whilst the other works with the units having their winding stations on the lower level. The technical outlay as regards design and mfr. is not particularly increased, and the operational efficiency is not diminished.
