PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject ink capable of stably forming minute dots of high deepness. SOLUTION: This ink for electrostatic ink jet printing use essentially comprises a dispersion medium, a colorant insoluble to the dispersion medium, a resin, and a charging control agent; wherein the dispersion medium is a mixture of a hydrocarbon solvent and a silicone oil. This ink is used as described below: it is introduced into an ink issue port disposed with a plurality of printing electrodes and then issued via the port by the action of electrostatic force due to a voltage applied between the printing electrodes and counter electrodes located against the printing electrodes to effect forming print dots on a printing medium placed between the printing electrodes and the counter electrodes. |
