PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of controlling the particle size more accurately and easily so as to obtain stable quality of microcapsules considering the characteristics of an emulsifying machine. SOLUTION: In an agitating chamber 4 filled with the liquid to be treated consisting of hydrophobic liquids 2, 3 and hydrophilic liquid 1, an agitator is rotated so as to make the liquid in a film state revolve along the inner wall of the chamber 4 by centrifugal force and to emulsify the hydrophobic liquid in the hydrophilic liquid to obtain an emulsion liquid. Then capsule wall films including the emulsified hydrophobic liquid are formed. In the production method of microcapsules above described, the particle size of emulsified hydrophobic liquid is automatically measured 5. Then emulsifying temp. or flow rate is automatically controlled to obtain the target average particle size of the emulsified hydrophobic liquid based on the data of relation between the emulsifying temp. or flow rate and average particle size which is preliminarily stored in a computer 8. |
