A lock, in particular for cycles, has a bolt 1 to lie between forks 6,7 with a cylinder lock 2 at least partly lying in a recess 8. The lock stator has a pin 11 passing through the bolt 1 to engage a longitudinal slot in a fixed housing 4 to prevent rotation of the stator in the bolt recess. A locking bolt 17, projects from the lock rotor through the stator and a closed slot in bolt 1, into an annular groove 18 in housing 4. Use of the correct key to turn the lock rotor aligns locking bolt 17 with the groove accommodating pin 11 so that the bolt 1 maybe withdrawn from housing 4. The length of bolt 1 may be adjusted by means of screw 22. <IMAGE> |
