A tool (10) for tightening and clamping a length of wire (27) about an object (30), having a frame (11) and a transversely extending jaw (16) at the forward end of the frame (11) which engages with portion (29) of the wire (27) and a clamp (22) which clamps the free ends (28) of the wire and which is moved rearwardly from the jaw (16) by an actuator (18) to tighten the wire about the object (30). |
