PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an impeller for a water jet pump, which can improve the pump efficiency and which is easily machinable and which is structured capably of lowering the manufacturing cost. SOLUTION: In the impeller, a propeller shaft is installed on the tip side so that it rotates integrally with a propeller shaft on the engine-E side, and a pump-rotary shaft is installed on the back and side to be rotated in pump- casing. A spline hole 1b to be connected to a spline shaft on the propeller shaft side is directly formed in the tip part of the impeller 1, and a fitting hole 1D into which an internal thread member 1f is to be fitted, is formed in the back end part of the impeller 1. The internal thread member 1f which has the outer periphery fittable in the fitting hole and which has a internal thread on the inner peripheral surface is fitted to the fitting hole 1D.
