PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively suppress the corrosive wear of a die to be fed with cooling water and a lubricant by providing the part close to the part to be abutted on the material to be worked in a die with a sacrificial anode member and preferentially corroding the sacrificial anode member. SOLUTION: On the working face 11 of a rolling die 10 for hot gear rolling or the like, the heated material 40 to be worked is abutted, which is pressed to form a gear. The outer circumferential part of the rolling die 10 is provided with a sacrificial anode member 20 close to the working face 11. As the sacrificial anode member 20, preferably, a magnesium series material having about 5 mm thickness and whose cross-sectional shape is formed of an L-shape is used. Moreover, a surface cleaning means of rubbing the surface of the sacrificial anode member 20 is provided to remove away depositions such as graphite or the like contained in a lubricant. Together with that, preferably, a passive film formed on the surface of the sacrificial anode member 20 and whose formation is promoted by the presence of a lubricant is removed away to hold the surface of the sacrificial anode member 20 always to a new face.
