Process comprises spraying fine disperse water on to the surface of the sulphate layer during solidification. To permit continuous prepn., the spray is 1-15m from the sulphate, and delivers 20-150 l/h. - On batch processing, the surface of the melt is sprayed shortly after pouring of the melt, pref. during the first third of the solidification time, at a rate of 0.1-1 l/m2. |
