PURPOSE:To realize a copying machine with high reliability by operating a copying machine normally only when one of provided marks is detectable. CONSTITUTION:A beltlike photosensitive body 1 has three marks M1-M3 which have different length l1-l3. When roller 2 and 3 rotate to move the beltlike photosensitive material 1 in a direction A, a sensor 18 detects the marks M1- M3 successively. Consequently, the output signal S1 of the sensor 18 has logical ''H'' level parts for times corresponding to the marks M1-M3. Then, a copy process start signal ST is outputted through an OR circuit 35, etc. Consequently, even if one or two marks among M1-M3 are damaged, the copy process is started, so the high-reliability copying machine is realized. |
