PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light source device which has a fixing structure for a fluorescent tube having a curved portion, being good in mechanical strength and being easily assembled and disassembled. SOLUTION: A light source device is composed of a fluorescent tube 4 having a curved portion and used as a back light of a display element, a diffusion plate arranged on the upper surface of the fluorescent tube, a reflecting plate 3 arranged on the lower surface, and a substrate provided with two holding members 5 for fixing the fluorescent tube. Both ends of the fluorescent tube has a mouthpiece 7. Both ends of the mouthpiece is held by the holding members 5 installed on the substrate, and the curved portion of the fluorescent tube 4 is fixed to a claw provided on the reflecting plate 3. By inserting the holding member 5 into an oblong hole provided in the substrate, the holding member can be slidingly moved in a direction orthogonal to the longitudinal direction of the fluorescent tube 4. By adopting such a construction, it is possible to absorb the difference in dimension for tube widths respectively different in each fluorescent tubes, and no stress is applied to the fluorescent tube, thus being good in mechanical strength, and being easy to assemble and disassemble. |
