<p>PURPOSE:To reinforce the hollow cam shaft in the caption and enable lubricating oil to be supplied quickly by insertingly fixing a cylindrical piece to a predetermined position on the inner peripheral surface of the hollow cam shaft having the lubricating oil suppling function. CONSTITUTION:A cylindrical piece 4 is insertingly fixed into a hollow shaft 1 (hollow cam shaft) in the middle part between a cam lobe 2 and a journal 3 which are insertingly fitted and fixed on the hollow shaft 1. Thereby, a weak part in strength and rigidity, wherein there are not the cam lobe 2 and the journal 3, is reinforced by the cylindrical piece 4. Also, the capacity of the hollow portion 5 is reduced by insertion of the cylindrical piece 4, so that lubricating oil can be supplied quickly from an oil hole 6 of the journal 3 to the exterior.</p> |
