<p>The pocket assembly (13) comprises an inner ring (13A) and an outer race (13B). Between the shafts is a lubricant cavity (C). The input shaft adaptor (14) houses a further set of bearings (15). A lubricant splash collection port (17) opens into a collecting space (18) which directs lubricant into the bearing cavity (19). Drilled ports (21) afford lubricant access to the pocket bearing. A conduit (22) is connected to the transmission assembly where the lubricant is pumped by a gear cluster, forcing lubricant towards the pocket bearing. Power from the vehicle engine is delivered to the output shaft (10), the enlarged end of which forms a drive gear (11) meshing with a driven gear, and enclosing the power input end of the transmission shaft (12).</p> |
