PURPOSE:To reduce the size of the titled coupler based on procedure using an ultrasonic deflector by providing the coupler with two optical fibers upon which different diffracted beams outputted from the ultrasonic deflector are made incident through one condenser lens. CONSTITUTION:The optical directional coupler 20 is provided with the optical fiber FB4 for leading an output light from a light emitting part 1 into the coupler 20, the condenser lens LS4 for inputting output light of the optical fiber FB4, the ultrasonic deflector A02 for inputting the light projected from the lens LS4, a condenser lens LS5 FOR inputting the light projected from the deflector A02, and the optical fiber FB5 for inputting light through the deflector A02 and the lens LS4 and guiding the light to a light receiving part 4. Since the output beams from the deflector A02 is converged and directly coupled with the optical fibers FB4, FB5, a distance for separating the 0th-order diffracted beam from the primary diffracted beam can be shortened and the size of the optical directional coupler can be reduced. |
