PURPOSE:To make a dot density and a dot interval variable, by a method wherein; an air pulse length is varied by controlling open/close of solenoid valves to adjust a nozzle jet timing and an amount of ink, and a rotation control and a feed mechanism are provided in a nozzle holder. CONSTITUTION:The air in air headers 15 passing through respective main valves 16 turns to the air pulse differing in height between the peak and the bottom by an open/close control of solenoid valves 17. An ink fed from an ink reservoir 13 is jetted in a dot form through a plurality of ink jet nozzles 12 by the amount according to the air pulse. With a command of a controller, a nozzle holder 11 having the two or more jet nozzles 12 fixed thereon is set at an arbitrary angle through a motor 7, gears 8, 9, and a follower shaft 10 and traveled at an arbitrary speed through a motor 6, a screw shaft 3, a screw guide 4, a straight line bearing 21, and a rail 2. In this manner, regardless of the object of printing is stopped or moving, a character or graphic can be freely varied in size, direction, dot density, and dot interval, irrelevant to the action of the object. |
