A liquid applicator with a liquid reservoir (3) suitable for applying a liquid which must be agitated when applied includes a plunger (7) slidably mounted in the liquid reservoir and an agitating ball (1) loosely housed in the reservoir. An agitating-ball chamber (2) is provided in a lower part of the liquid reservoir or in a lower part of the plunger. The inner diameter and/or depth of the agitating-ball chamber are slightly greater than the diameter of the agitating ball so that the ball may be accommodated in the chamber, thereby allowing the plunger to reach the bottom of the liquid reservoir. <IMAGE>
