The seat of the chair bed is connected at the bottom by two unequal length guide rods to the top area of a base frame which pref. forms the bedding storage area whereby the seat can be swivelled up to give access to the storage area. The height (H1) of the backrest (1), seat cushion (2) and armrests (3), which combine to form the swivel seat bench measured from the top rearmost edge (12) next to the wall, to the upper hinged connecting points (7,9) of the two guide rods (5,6) on the seat bench is about 3 times the distance (H3) from the upper connecting points (7,9) to the ground. USE/ADVANTAGE - When opening up the bedding storage area the seast bench can be raised without striking the wall and without having to pull the chair out from the wall.
