A unit (16) is disclosed for supplying fuel from a tank (10) to the internal combustion engine (20) of a motor vehicle. The fuel-feed unit (16) proposed comprises an electric drive motor (22) and a pump (24) driven by the motor. The pump has a housing (60) which forms a chamber and which is rigidly joined to the casing of the fuel-feed unit. Propellant means in the chamber formed by the pump housing are rotated by the drive motor. The noise levels of the fuel-feed unit are particularly low if at least part of the multicomponent-construction pump housing is made of a ceramic material. |
