PURPOSE:To avoid failure and waste in forming an image and the trouble of a device caused by using an improper image forming element by using a memory installed on an attachable/detachable image forming element. CONSTITUTION:The memories 1000 and 2000 in developing devices 5 and 6 are connected with a 1st CPU 200, when the memories 1000 and 2000 are connected with the CPU 200, information stored in the memories 1000 and 2000 are precisely read and written. At this time, toner bottles 81 and 91 are in a set state. The memories 1000 and 2000 are not entirely connected with the CPU 200 when the toner bottles are not set, so that the information stored in the memories 1000 and 2000 cannot be read and written by the CPU 200. Thus, the image is formed only by using the image forming element in the proper state while preventing the image forming element in the improper state from being used. |
