PURPOSE:To provide an optical recording compsn. using an org. photochromic compd. and having practicality such that the recording due to light irradiation is stably held, the erasure of recorded data is easy and the adjustment of erasing temp. is easy. CONSTITUTION:An optical recording compsn. contains 1 pts.wt. of an org. photochromic compd. (i) and 10 pts.wt. or more of a hindered amine compd. (ii) having a m.p. or softening point of 50 deg.C or higher and a mol.wt. of 1500-10000.
