PURPOSE:To efficiently remove foreign materials such as a shrimp or a small shellfish from a laver mixture liquid. CONSTITUTION:This apparatus for removing foreign materials from laver is obtained by arranging separating chambers 16 having slender separating holes 28 having a slightly larger hole width than the thickness of raw laver in at least a part of an outer wall in a storage tank 3, providing a changeover valve 35 capable of selectively making plural feed ports 38 corresponding to each separating chamber 16 communicate with one discharge port 41 and a suction pump 34 capable of sucking water, connecting the discharge feed port 38 of the changeover valve 35 to the corresponding separating chamber 16, further connecting the discharge port 41 of the changeover valve 35 to the suction pump 34 and thereby capable of intermittently and forcedly sucking a laver mixture liquid in the storage tank to each separating chamber, passing water in the laver mixture liquid and raw laver through the separating holes, leaving larger foreign materials than the width of the separating holes on the outside of the separating chamber and efficiently removing the foreign materials from the laver mixture liquid. When the suction is stopped, clogging of the separating holes can be opened to efficiently remove the foreign materials. The high suction force of the suction pump can directly be made to act on each separating chamber by the changeover valve and the throughput for removing the foreign materials can be increased to miniaturize the apparatus. |
