1-Aminoalkyliden-1,1-bisphosphonic acids of formula (B), or any salt thereof: wherein R2 is a straight-chain or branched aliphatic hydrocarbon radical of 1-9 carbon atoms, which is optionally substituted by one or more amino or aminoalkyl groups with the exception of a terminal aminoalkyl group wherein R3 is a straight-chain or branched, saturated or unsaturated aliphatic hydrocarbon radical of 1-9 carbon atoms, and R4 is cyclohexyl or cyclohexylmethyl, benzyl or a straight-chain or branched, saturated or unsaturated aliphatic hydrocarbon radical of 4-18 carbon atoms, as a single substituent of R2.
