METHOD OF REHABILITATING CHILDREN AND ADULTS AFFECTED BY CEREBRAL PATHOLOGIES

The invention relates to medicine and can be used in the treatment and medical and social rehabilitation of persons suffering from various cerebral disorders causing motor disturbances, impairment of sensitivity and coordination, vestibular and vegetative disturbances. The proposed method involves a special set of exercises comprising basic and closing training exercises carried out with the patient in an initial position on his/her back, stomach, right-hand side, left-hand side and standing. It includes diagonal gymnastics of specific parts of the support-motor apparatus (right and left hands, right and left legs, head). The set of exercises including diagonal gymnastics involves alternating and simultaneous flexion and straightening at the main joints in the upper and lower extremities. The method can be applied to new-born babies and infants, patients of low intelligence, and to children affected by aural or visual impairment. It allows a special motor programme of future physiologically correct movements to be consolidated at the level of higher nerve activity in children and adults affected by cerebral pathologies.
