PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet recording medium having excellent printing water resistance, printing density, printing gloss and light resistance and a method for manufacturing it. SOLUTION: In the ink jet recoding medium comprising a support and at least one or more recording layers, the at least one layer contains secondary particles of a fine silica and/or alumina silicate having a mean particle size of 1 μm or below obtained by aggregating primary particles each having a mean particle size of 3 to 40 nm, and the at least one layer is coated with a liquid containing at least one of an ultraviolet absorbent and an antioxidant. |
