PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent comfortableness from deteriorating due to early expiration of a thermostat caused by dripping of condensate onto a suction temperature sensor, reset lag of the thermostat caused by cold radiation from a heat exchanger upon stoppage of a fan by providing a sub-drain pan with a suction temperature sensor for detecting the indoor temperature. SOLUTION: A V-groove is made in the lower end part 7a of a straightener 7 which is jointed, at the opposite ends thereof, to a U-shaped side plate 9 thus forming a sub-drain pan 11. Condensate dripping straight from the suction face of a heat exchanger 5 is collected in the sub-drain pan 11 and flows through the side plate 9 into a main drain pan 13 disposed at the lower end part of the heat exchanger 5. A suction temperature sensor 14 for detecting the indoor temperature is fixed to the lower surface 9a of the side plate 9. According to the arrangement, comfortableness can be prevented from deteriorating due to early expiration or reset lag of the thermostat even if the heat exchanger 5 is inclined. |
