PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To designate an operating mode at the time of start through the on/off pattern of a power source switch by changing the mode of device operation together with the on/off of power source output through the operation of a switch by a user. SOLUTION: The user turns off a switch SW connected to a power source unit(PSU) control part 2, and the PSU control part 2 detects such a state change and outputs it to a PC bus 10. Then, a CPU on a miniaturized mother board 4 detects the off of the switch SW and starts cis end processing and after the terminating processing of a task is executed, an instruction for turning on/off the main power source output of a PSU 1 is issued to the PSU control part 2. When this instruction is received, the PSU control part 2 stops a power source control input signal PowOn to the PSU 1, turns on/off the main power source output and changes the required operating mode based on that information.
