<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a magnetic toner for an image output device causing no filming on a photoreceptor, excellent in fluidity and capable of maintaining an image of high quality over a long period of time. SOLUTION: Hydrophobic silica is stuck to the surface of powder consisting essentially of a bonding resin, magnetic powder and an electric charge controlling agent to obtain the objective magnetic toner used in an image forming device in which a process for electrifying an org. photoreceptor with a contact system electrifier is carried out. In the particle size distribution of the hydrophobic silica, the proportion of particles having <=5.04μm volume basis particle diameter is >=60 vol.% and the proportion of particles having 16.0-32.0μm volume average diameter is <=3 wt.%.</p> |
